Use of AI in Our Programmes

How AI supports the creation of Starbuck Academy content, and how people stay in charge of it.

Starbuck Academy is part of Starbuck & Associates Limited. Our programmes are developed with the help of AI tools and are written and reviewed by ICF credentialed coaches at Starbuck & Associates, led by our Founder and CEO, Paul Starbuck, ICF Master Certified Coach. No content is published until a person has checked it.

The tools we use

  • Claude (Anthropic): helps draft lesson scripts, lesson notes, workbook and toolkit text, workplace tasks, knowledge check questions and course page wording. Every draft is edited and approved by an ICF credentialed coach before use.
  • Gamma: used to design and lay out downloadable PDFs such as workbooks, toolkits and guides in our brand colours. The content is ours. Each PDF is checked before upload.
  • Synthesia: produces our lesson videos, presented by licensed AI avatars with synthetic voices. The presenters are not real people. Scripts are approved before a video is generated, and each video is watched before it is published.
  • YouTube: hosts our lesson videos and creates the closed captions automatically. Captions are off by default and you can switch them on with the CC button.

Our review process

  1. A coach sets the learning outcomes and the models each lesson will use.
  2. AI tools help draft the script, notes, tools and questions.
  3. An ICF credentialed coach edits and approves every item for accuracy, tone and UK English.
  4. Videos and PDFs are produced, then watched or read in full before upload.
  5. Every programme is reviewed at least once a year, and learner feedback is used to improve it.

What AI is not used for

  • Marking or assessing learners: knowledge checks are scored automatically against fixed answers.
  • Personal advice: our programmes are general learning content, not medical, legal or financial advice.
  • Learner data: we do not put learner names or personal details into AI tools.

The AI Coach Hub is a separate, optional tool and is clearly labelled as AI wherever it appears.
