Organisational Readiness Hub
Know what your organisation still has to do
This hub connects you to the Starbuck & Associates Organisational Readiness Checker. It is a free tool that shows you what your organisation still has to do across four areas of workplace duty, in a sensible order, with links to the official guidance.

Learning Outcomes
By using this hub, you will be able to:
- See which duties already apply to your organisation, and which are still to come, based on your size, sector and structure
- Check where you stand on a menopause action plan, including the duties that already apply and what a published plan needs to contain
- Check your gender pay gap reporting duties, alongside the actions recommended for narrowing your gap
- Check your sexual harassment prevention duties, including the higher standard that applies from 30 October 2026
- Check whether your approach to workplace stress and mental health meets the HSE Management Standards
- Leave with a clear list of what is still outstanding, put in a sensible order rather than all at once
- Download a report of your results to share with your board, your HR team or your health and safety lead
Each check takes about five minutes and you can work through the topics in any order. The content is based on guidance published up to 16 September 2026.
Menopause action plan
From April 2026, employers with 250 or more employees can publish a menopause action plan alongside their gender pay gap data, and this is expected to become mandatory from spring 2027 subject to legislation. Other duties, including workplace risk assessment and the Equality Act, already apply to every employer whatever its size. This check separates the two, so you can see what applies to you now and what you are preparing for.
Gender pay gap action plan
This check covers your reporting duties and the actions recommended for narrowing your gap. You can see what you are required to publish, and what would strengthen the picture alongside it.
Sexual harassment prevention
Every employer has a duty to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment of their staff, and the standard becomes tougher from 30 October 2026. This check works through what you already have in place, from policy and training through to reporting routes and third party risk, and shows you what is missing.
Workplace stress and mental health
The legal duty to assess the risk of work-related stress applies to every employer. This check follows the HSE Management Standards and shows you where your current approach falls short of them.
Your answers stay on your own screen
The checker runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is saved, and nothing is sent to us. Close the page and your answers are gone. If you want to keep your results, download the report before you leave.
Important information
The Readiness Checker gives general guidance to help you plan. It is not legal, HR, health and safety or medical advice, and it does not confirm that your organisation meets its legal duties. Laws and guidance change, so always check the current position and take professional advice for your circumstances. Your use of Starbuck Academy is also covered by our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

The Readiness Checker is hosted on a separate site and is free to use, with no login and no account needed. Choose a topic, tell it what your organisation already has in place, and you will get back a list of what is still outstanding with links to the official guidance.
It is a practical prompt rather than legal advice, so check anything significant against the guidance it links to, or with your own adviser.
